U.S. Is Said to Plan to Send Weapons to Syrian Rebels
The Obama administration, concluding that the troops of President Bashar al-Assad of Syria have used chemical weapons against rebel forces in his country’s civil war, has decided to begin supplying the rebels for the first time with small arms and ammunition, according to American officials.
The officials held out the possibility that the assistance, coordinated by the Central Intelligence Agency, could include antitank weapons, but they said that for now supplying the antiaircraft weapons that rebel commanders have said they sorely need is not under consideration.
Supplying weapons to the rebels has been a long-sought goal of advocates of a more aggressive American response to the Syrian civil war. A proposal made last year by David H. Petraeus, then the director of the C.I.A., and backed by the State Department and the Pentagon to supply weapons was rejected by the White House because of President Obama’s deep reluctance to be drawn into another war in the Middle East.
But even with the decision to supply lethal aid, the Obama administration remains deeply divided about whether to take more forceful action to try to quell the fighting, which has killed more than 90,000 people over more than two years. Many in the American government believe that the military balance has tilted so far against the rebels in recent months that American shipments of arms to select groups may be too little too late.
Some senior State Department officials have been pushing for a more aggressive military response, including airstrikes to hit the primary landing strips in Syria that the Assad government uses to launch the chemical weapons attacks, ferry troops around the country and receive shipments of arms from Iran.
But White House officials remain wary, and on Thursday Benjamin J. Rhodes, one of Mr. Obama’s top foreign policy advisers, all but ruled out the imposition of a no-fly zone and indicated that no decision had been made on other military actions.
Mr. Obama declared last August that the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government would cross a “red line” that would prompt a more resolute American response. In an April letter to Congress, the White House said that intelligence agencies had “varying degrees of confidence” that Syrian government troops had used chemical weapons. But the conclusion of the latest intelligence review, according to officials, is more definitive.

Turkish Leader Orders an End to Protests in 24 Hours
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan ordered his interior minister on Wednesday to end all antigovernment protests within 24 hours, as thousands of protesters returned to Taksim Square after riot police officers dispersed crowds overnight with tear gas and water cannons.
At a meeting in Ankara with representatives of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen, a labor union, Mr. Erdogan dismissed international criticism of his handling of the protests and claimed that Turkish intelligence knew three months ago about local and foreign efforts to inflict chaos in Turkey, according to a union official who attended the meeting and who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
“There are people who claim this is the Turkish Spring, but what they do not see is that Turkey has been living through its spring since 2002,” said Mr. Erdogan, referring to the year his Justice and Development Party won a majority of seats in Parliament.
“By tomorrow at the latest, the Gezi Park incident will end,” he continued. “This is a public park, not an area of occupation.”
For nearly two weeks, the prime minister has remained largely defiant, demanding that protesters leave the square, placing armed police officers on standby to sweep the area and insisting that the demonstrations were nothing like the Arab Spring protests, which ousted entrenched leaders across the Middle East and northern Africa. But as homemade firebombs and tear gas wafted through the city center, it seemed that Mr. Erdogan and his supporters had miscalculated the opposition’s tenacity and conviction.
“Thugs! Thugs!” a protester shouted at the police as she was shrouded in a cloud of tear gas. “Let God bring the end of you!”

-Contemplation-
Nothing impossible with hard work. Insyaallah, with Allah’s help and guidance our efforts will be even more effective.
We are created equal. Anyone has the chance to be excellent. As long as we are willing to work harder, willing to commit, insyaallah we’ll get it.

# INDONESIA
Indonesia kini …
Memang tak seperti dulu …
Anak mudanya mampu
menggagas lebih bebas …
Tentang ide dan segala
untain manisnya …
Indonesia kini …
Tak sama seperti dulu …
Anak mudanya banyak ,
dengan nada berjamaah dalam menelurkan karya …
Dinamis dengan segala
kepribadiannya …
Tapi bertujuan sama untuk
Indonesia …
Indonesia kini …
Memang sudah berubah …
Lebih modern dalam
berjalan, karena ada fasilitias yang merangkul mimpi-mimpi itu …
Semuanya untuk Indonesia
…
Indonesia kini …
Sudah tak seperti dulu,
tapi …
Roh semangat dan Embrio
Perjuangan itu …
Masih saja sama dengan
darah perjuangan para pahlawan negeri …
Tertulis di atas langit
Indonesia ..
Berisi ….
Indonesia yang sejahtera
…
Dalam baluran cinta …
#Hujan selalu mengajarkan untuk bercerita ….
Merangsang ide-ide untuk
selalu keluar …
Memancing makna terpendam
untuk selalu bersuara …
Riuh dan sedap jika
menjadi rantai cerita …
Cerita tentang anak-anak
manusia …
Di bawah panjangnya mimpi
…
Mendengarkannya …
Lucu bersuara …
Lihai mengolah kata ..
Cepatnya benih hujan pun,
tersaingi dengan kuatnya kata..
Hujan memainkan cerita …
Hingga menjadi kaya isi …
Yang tak menggerutui..
# Kampusku …
Aktivitas kuliah memang
sudah biasa …
Semenjak awal masuk, maka
sudah banyak jarum ideologi yang menusuk …
Mengernyitkan dahi,
Melapangkan hati hingga menguras tenaga …
Semua untuk terus memperbaiki
diri …
Pagi …
Selalu membawa angin
semangat …
Bukan waktunya untuk
membekukan semangat …
Apalagi bermain dengan
tajamnya waktu …
Ke kampus …
Adalah aktivitas yang
akan terus bergulir deras …
Masa di kampus, adalah
rangkaian cerita Indah untuk menuai karya …
Pada saatnya nanti …
Karya-Karya itu akan
terus berlanjut sampai Indonesia membuka mata …
Berkarya adalah bentuk
penghidupan …
Untuk menghidupkan nyawa
…
Agar tak sia-sia
tercipta …
#Karang Menjangan …
Ini …
Kampung yang terkenal itu
kan ….
Kampung yang selalu padat
dengan rapatnya pasar …
Buah, Sayur yang menyatu
…
Kain , sandal yang
bercengkerama dalam ramainya pasar …
Tenda-tenda pedagang
berdiri tanpa canggung dalam sempitnya jalan ….
Ya…
Ini Karangmenjangan …
Orang berlalu lalang ..
Tanpa basa-basi dan
lantang …
Bukan untuk menantang
melainkan untuk meringankan harga barang …
Tanah yang retak…
Jalanan yang licin karena
cintanya hujan …
Sehingga membuat
kaki-kaki itu, harus ligat berkelebat …
Menghindari cobaan di
pagelaran jalan …
Karamenjangan …
Ada …
Karena ada yang setia
untuk hidup disana …
